Beverly Thurston

Beverly is a specialist at the Virginia Department of Education in history, the social sciences, and international education. Beverly graduated from Lynchburg College with a B.A. in Political Science, from the London School of Economics with a M.Sc. in Comparative Politics, and a Doctorate in History from Carnegie Mellon University. Beverly was selected as a Commonwealth Intern, selected to participate in Leadership Metro Richmond, and to participate in two study seminars to Japan. She is currently a participant in the Japan Studies Leadership Program. She and Don Zeigler have led groups of teachers on numerous study seminars in the Middle East.
