Bio

A teacher and social studies chair for 29 years, Waters currently is the High School Social Studies Specialist for the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. He has been a curriculum writer and educational consultant for most of his career. His work includes projects with PBS, the Virginia Department of Education, the Philadelphia Public Schools, the College Board, NAEP, the Peace Corps World Wise Schools, and the American Council on Education. His work also includes student teleconferences and teacher exchanges with the Peoples Republic of China, Japan, Azerbaijan, Israel and the Republic of Germany. In addition, Mr. Waters is an adjunct faculty member in the education department at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
